TCO in TAKSUR: what each vehicle really costs

How to read total cost of ownership per vehicle and across the fleet — and why contract rent is not in the TCO total.

What is TCO?

TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) is the full ownership cost of a vehicle. In TAKSUR, operational TCO aggregates real costs already logged in the platform.

What is included

  • Fuel
  • EV charging
  • Maintenance
  • Fines
  • Damages (repair cost)
  • Insurance (premiums prorated by period)

What is excluded (on purpose)

Weekly contract rent is typically income (driver → company). It is shown as a profitability reference and in estimated margin (rent − TCO), without mixing into the cost total.

Where to look

  1. Vehicles → Fleet TCO — ranking, KPIs, €/km and CSV export
  2. Vehicle sheet → Info — category breakdown and period filter

Useful periods

Current month, quarter, year to date, all time, or a custom range.

Questions TCO answers

  • What does this car cost this month?
  • Which are the most expensive vehicles?
  • Does rent cover operating cost?
  • How much is energy vs maintenance?

Best practices

  • Log fuel, maintenance and damages with dates and amounts
  • Link insurance policies to the correct vehicle
  • Keep odometer readings updated for reliable cost/km
  • Export Fleet TCO CSV for management reviews

Next step

Open Vehicles → Fleet TCO for the current month. See also /faq.
